The Goose Barn is situated in the heart of the beautiful unspoilt Northumberland National Park. The most dramatic central section of Hadrian's Wall is visible from the barn's windows.

It is only a short walk (less than a mile) from the barn to the Hadrian's Wall National Trail and to its junction with the Pennine Way.

The barn is a mile north of the National Park Visitor Centre at Once Brewed, and close to the famous Roman sites of Vindolanda and Housesteads.

Despite this seclusion, communications are excellent: we are just thirty minutes' drive from the M1/A1 to the east and the M6 to the west, and 35 minutes from Newcastle International Airport. The nearest rail station is Haltwhistle (4 miles).
